Your account

Account registration stores your username, email and a password hash. Your vehicle details, modifications, ZIP, event range and profile photo are optional. Your email, preferences and profile photo are not included in public event or comment responses.

Essential cookies keep you signed in or link events to the browser where a guest posted them. Login sessions may include security information such as IP address and browser details. Submission limits help reduce spam.

What is public

Event details, event photos and discussion comments can be viewed without an account. Your username appears with comments. Put only information you have permission to share in a public listing or discussion.

Approved sponsor pages show the submitted business name, category, service area, description, website and logo. Business contact names and emails stay private to the applicant and the site admin. Event and comment reports are private to the site admin.

Services the app uses

The app runs on OpenAI Sites with its hosted database and file storage. Hosting and security services process requests needed to run the site. Sites also records visitor and page-view analytics. The site admin’s optional Sign in with ChatGPT uses identity headers from the hosting platform. ZIP lookups may be sent to Zippopotam.us to find a city, state and approximate location. Optional directions and calendar links open external services.

Automated event discovery uses public event sources and links to organizer announcements. Sponsor website links take you to a separate business with its own privacy practices.

Car Show Chasers does not currently collect card details or process payments. The app has no third-party advertising tracking scripts. Sponsor placements are shown without sharing your account email or ZIP preferences with advertisers.

Site traffic measurement

We measure daily visitors, visits, page views and active time to understand how the site is used. The site reuses its first-party guest cookie and keeps a random visit ID in your browser session. Daily visitor identifiers are hashed and change each day. These visit summaries do not contain your account ID, email address, IP address or the pages you visited.

Active time is estimated while a tab is visible and you have interacted within the last 60 seconds. Reports are private to the admin and visit summaries are retained for 90 reporting days. Our app measurement honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control and excludes the signed-in site admin. Hosting services may keep separate operational records.

Optional weekly emails

Weekly event emails require a separate opt-in and email confirmation. We use your saved ZIP and distance to select upcoming events. Emails may include promoted featured events and a labeled sponsor advertisement. Advertisers do not receive your email address or private profile preferences.

We store your consent version, confirmation status, email address and limited delivery records. When sending is enabled, Resend processes the recipient address and email content and sends delivery, bounce and complaint notifications back to Car Show Chasers. We do not add email tracking pixels or measure opens or clicks.

Unsubscribe from any email without signing in, or turn weekly emails off in Profile. This does not delete your account. Account deletion removes your subscription and member-linked delivery records. A minimal address hash may remain after a permanent bounce or spam complaint to prevent further mail to that address. An email already handed to the delivery provider cannot be recalled.

Your controls

Edit or remove optional profile details and your photo in Profile. Delete your own comments from their discussion. Manage hidden members in Account & security. Withdraw a business application or featured request from its status page to stop its public placement.

Account deletion is available in Profile → Account & security. It removes your account, profile, business application, featured requests, comments, and community events you created, including their photos and discussions. Public events found independently through organizer sources are separate records and stay in the directory.

Copies already downloaded by other people cannot be recalled. Administrative review records and hosting security logs may remain after account deletion; backups follow the hosting service’s retention processes.
